 Islamic Committee for Arbitration and Conflict Resolution

The Canadian Council of Scholars has established the Islamic Committee for Arbitration and Conflict Resolution to provide a trusted platform for resolving disputes in Muslim communities across Canada. This service specializes in facilitating Islamic mediation and arbitration for marital and family disputes, aligning with both Islamic law and Canadian legal standards. Consultation sessions are conducted in a safe, confidential environment by three qualified Imams experienced in Islamic arbitration. Services are offered in multiple languages, including English, French, Arabic, Farsi, and Urdu, ensuring accessibility for diverse Muslim communities.

Canadian Academy of Religions Studies

The Canadians Council of Scholars oversees the Canadian Academy of Religious Studies, a unique institution dedicated to Islamic theological education. The Academy provides formal religious training under the guidance of qualified Muslim scholars, designed for the Canadian context. This program aims to cultivate knowledgeable Muslim leaders capable of serving the growing Canadian Muslim population. It emphasizes both understanding Islamic principles and applying them to improve community services at all levels.

Marriage Reconciliation

The CCS offers Marriage Reconciliation Services, focusing on restoring marital harmony using Islamic principles. Each participating Imam is fully trained in Islamic marriage reconciliation, ensuring a compassionate and faith-based approach.

Islamic Consultations

The Imams at CCS provide Shariah-based consultations for marriage, including:

  • Guidance on finding a compatible spouse
  • Advice on Islamic rulings for proposals and marriage agreements
  • Recommendations for faith-based living arrangements

This service helps individuals build relationships rooted in Islamic values and mutual respect.

Islamic Committee for Halal

The Halal Committee, established by the Canadian Council of Scholars, offers comprehensive Halal certification and advisory services. The committee ensures that businesses meet Islamic dietary requirements, benefiting both Canadian and international Muslim consumers. The Council has invested to this date a lot of resources in training, guiding and helping various places in Ontario and elsewhere to meet the Muslim standards. Additionally, the Council supports Canadian Imams by offering training, accreditation, and assistance in obtaining community leadership roles.

Islamic Committee for Hajj & Umrah & Ziyara

The Canadian Council of Scholars has created a committee dedicated to supporting Hajj, Umrah, and Ziyara pilgrimages. The committee provides:

  • Spiritual guidance
  • Educational support
  • Access to trained Imams for religious and historical insights

This service helps Muslims perform these sacred journeys with a deeper understanding and connection to their faith.

Islamic Committee for Death Rituals

The Canadian Council of Scholars, in collaboration with Dr. Ali group and professional Muslim lawyers, provides Islamic-compliant Will preparation services. These services include:

  • Drafting Wills that align with Islamic principles and Canadian legal standards
  • Ensuring proper distribution of estates according to Shariah
  • Guidance on funeral arrangements and guardianship of minors

This service ensures that Canadian Muslims can plan their final affairs in accordance with their faith and local regulations.
